Summer Project - "If I could...I would"

"If I could...I would" was the title of our summer project before beginning our journey at Southampton Solent University studying as Make-up and Hair Design students. We had to create a mood board to portray our own personal ideas of where we want to be in five years time, what we want to achieve studying on this programme what inspires us to be a part of this amazing industry. I enjoyed this as I love researching and looking at make-up by my favourite make-up artists and at incredible fashion shows. Coming from an art and fashion background I have always been attracted to the creative fashion looks, like those created by Pat McGrath and Alex Box. However, from a young age I have always been in love with weddings despite having never attended one as a guest! After working last summer as a waitress at Asian weddings my fascination with the make-up, hair and fashion grew and inspired me to become a bridal make-up and hair artist even more. I feel like all these things are shown when looking at my moodboard and I am happy with the final outcome as I feel that it is true to me personally and what I aspire to one day be.
